Nine Months Old *June 12, 2014*

I think this is the latest that I've ever been on writing a monthly post for baby Grant, but things have gotten pretty crazy with moving right on his 9-month birthday.  He is getting very animated and is super busy these days.  He is crawling all over my parent's house, and I'm sure he is going to be excited to explore the floors in our new house in a few days! I cannot believe that we only have three short months (even less now) until his first birthday.
Here's what you're up to:

*You weigh 18.5 pounds (17th%) and are 27.25 inches tall (16th%).

*Bedtime is around 7:30/8pm. You actually sleep better if we put you down at 7:30 versus 8pm, so we try to get you down earlier rather than later.

*You are still taking two naps, but your morning nap is only about an hour long (unless you are in the carseat, and then it's only about 15-45minutes)

*If you fall asleep in the car for your afternoon nap, we have to put you back down in your swing for the rest of your nap or else you won't fall back asleep.

*You still wake up around 7/7:30am wanting a bottle or to be up for the day. Most of the time, you will take a bottle and go back to sleep unless we have to be somewhere early.

*You have been doing a much better job sleeping in the pack n' play than you did when we first got to your Yeye and Edaddy's house.

*You have loved to play with the dog's food dish, and you REALLY love to play with their water dish, but we have to put it up away from you or you will soak yourself.

*Speaking of water, you have become such a water bug lately.  You sit and splash and kick for hours in the pool.  You are really enjoying your summer!

*You are a pro at eating your baby food now, and you have been eating three meals per most days while here at Yeye's and Edaddy's house.  You also love the squeeze pouches and can feed them to yourself.

*You stopped fake gagging when eating soft foods now, and you actually enjoy eating puffs.  You've also eaten mac n' cheese noodles and seemed to like it.

*You still drink a ton of milk (8 ounces every few hours).

*Your 6-month sleepers are officially too small for you.  You are wearing mostly 9-month and 12-month clothes.

*We officially moved you to size 3 diapers this month.

*You still have NO TEETH :) Both of your sisters had at least two teeth by this point, baby Grant!

*Both of your sisters really love you, and they love to play with you.  Alli calls you "baby boy", and Lila calls you "baby Grant".  I think you'll be "baby" forever.

*You still startle so easy, are so ticklish, and can laugh hysterically if we play peek-a-boo or scare you.

*You learned how to clap your hands this month.

*You love to crawl to Yeye's toes.

*You are starting to crawl up on your hands and knees.

Goodbyes are HARD!

We had a lot of goodbyes to say when we left Texas at the beginning of the month.  We really made some of the best friends here, and I already miss everyone SO MUCH! I hope to get back and visit sometime in the not-so-distant future.

Pom Pom Pizazz Camp

The last week that we were in Texas, Lila attended a Pom Pom Pizzazz camp at Kennedy Dance Theatre (where she took ballet this past year).  The camp was adorable, and she had the BEST time! They learned two different dances, two drill team routines, a cheer, and a chant all in four days.  The performance was so cute, and they each got to take home an adorable shirt for their uniform, a big pink bow, and two sparkly pink pom poms.  I wish we could be there for next year too, but it was such a great experience for Lila! ...videos of the performances are attached below :)

Right at Home Bible Study Goodbye Party

My sweet Bible study friends threw our family such a fun and special going away party at Challenger Park. These girls have provided me with the most supportive and genuine friendship that I've ever had, and I'm so glad that we had the opportunity to "do life" together in Texas. Thanks for everything, friends!

The party started out in the open-area, but we quickly had to bring it under the pavilion after the huge downpour.  The kids thought the rain was the best thing that had ever happened to them. The rain definitely made it an even more fun party.
Alli got a little sleepy during the party

love these girls and their kids

Update...

I've been a little M.I.A. for the last few weeks, because we have since moved from Texas to Georgia.  Here is what we have been up to on the long 14-hour journey that took two days to make:
Said goodbye to the Texas house on June 12, 2014 :(

Yeye and Grant taking a break from driving and riding after a huge Grant blowout
Dinner at Cracker Barrel and a little giggling

Day 2 about to leave Mobile where we spent the night

Lunch at Amsterdam Cafe in AUBURN!

After a quick stop at J&M bookstore ("the Auburn store" as the girls called it)

We made it to Atlanta on Friday afternoon (the 13th), and will finally move into our new house in a few weeks.  Until then, we are enjoying all that living with Yeye and Edaddy has to offer!
