Happy Halloween, 2014!
We are having a great Halloween 2014 so far! The girls are pumped to go trick-or-treating in a few hours, and I'm excited to see baby Grant actually have his go at it this year also! Here are some pictures from our mini photo session the other day:

Grant: 12/13 Months *October 12, 2014*
'Tis the photography busy season again, and I've fallen behind on Grant's monthly posts...so much so that I'm having to combine his 12 and 13 months into one. Of course, these posts are mainly just to replace the baby book that I never filled out for him, so it's definitely a better-late-than-never type thing :)
Here's what you've been up to:
*You weigh 21.75 pounds.
*You are still wanting to take two naps per day, even though I'm trying to slowly get rid of the morning nap. You are super cranky come 10:30am if you haven't napped.
*Bedtime is still around 7:30/8pm and you sleep until 8am most mornings; however, you will wake up some mornings wanting milk at 6:30am, but then you go right back to sleep.
*You are now WALKING! Yay! You started walking around the first week of October, and you are getting faster by the day. You try to run, but aren't as coordinated yet, so you take lots of tumbles. The only time falling makes you mad is if you are wearing socks or slippery pants and you can't get a good grip on the floor.
*You have 4 teeth, but that 5th one (top left) is about to pop through anyday.
*You are a wild man, and you are into EVERYTHING! We had to put cabinet locks everywhere, because you love to seek out the cleaners under the sinks.
*You aren't a huge eater. Your favorite foods are: blueberries, strawberries, grilled cheese, mac n cheese, chocolate, peaches, oranges, squeeze pouches, granola and Nutragrain bars, and peanut butter crackers. You still drink about 4/5 cups of milk out of a sippy (and sometimes a bottle, but not often anymore) per day.
*You love to climb through, over, and under objects.
*You get so mad now when your sisters take a toy away from you or get in your way of where you are trying to go. You will scream at them, and they think it's hilarious.
*Speaking of screaming, you love to squeal in the middle of restaurants just for fun. Lila loved to do that too. It's happy squeals, but it's still very loud!
*You LOVE your school and your teachers, and they were so happy to watch you learn to walk. We are blessed with a great school and teachers for you.
*Your hair is so blonde and so straight (just like mommy's), and it's starting to grow a little mullet. You may get your first haircut well before the girls got theirs.
*You are such a sweet boy that loves the idea of cuddling, but doesn't want to sit still long enough to do it. It makes for a frustrating evening where you wants in my lap and then down over and over again.
*Now that you're walking, you are much happier at home and don't have to be held all.the.time anymore.
*You are very serious, but you will smile when we fake sneeze or sing the ABCs to you.
*You love love love playing with balls: all kinds! You love big rubber balls, tennis balls, soccer balls, even pumpkins (that you call "ba").
*You say several words, but your favorite this month is definitely "ba" for ball. You also love "uh-oh", "bu-bye", "momma", "dad" or "dadda", "hi", "hey", and "Lila".
*You bumps your head all the time, and you pretty much live with a goose egg on your head. (notice the red bump in the middle of your eyes in the photos)
You have changed so much in just the last few months, and you are just the cutest little thing! We love you baby Grant! (we are still enjoying wearing daddy's old outfits from when he was a baby! This sweet outfit was Josh's back in the early 80s!)

Auburn Vs. LSU Game *10/4/14*
I don't want to discuss this past Saturday's game ;), so I'm going to relive one of the most fun weekends yet this year!
My Alpha Gam sorority sisters decided this summer that we were going to have a big reunion tailgate for the LSU game, and it was such a great time. Josh and I got into town on Friday evening and immediately made our way to J&M Bookstore downtown to pick up some spirt wear before making our way to the hotel (because what's an Auburn game without sparkle face tattoos??). We had dinner with the girls and their husbands that came into town early at Moore's Mill Country Club (my how our game-weekend Friday nights have changed in the last 10 years!), and it was delicious. Even though we all got together just this summer at the beach, I don't think I could see these girls too much!!
Saturday started off early with tailgating around noon. We had a tent set up by the Tailgate Guys (check them out, they are awesome!). We walked around campus for a bit checking out all of the new buildings that I haven't seen yet, and I got a little jealous that the current students have all of these new awesome amenities that weren't there when I was in school. I almost didn't recognize parts of campus with all of the new construction (new to me, not all that new to the school though). Of course, I just HAD to make a stop to see my main man, Cam Newton, in all his bronze glory outside of the student entrance to Jordan-Hare Stadium as well.
After the game, Josh, Rachel, Steven, and I made our way to roll Toomer's Corner (which I'm embarrassed to say that I never did while in college even though we went undefeated one of the years I was there and won big the other years that I was there). We even got some Mama's Love sandwiches from Mama G's on our way back to the hotel. It was a PERFECT weekend with a perfect outcome!

Josh was super pumped to miss the Bama game to tailgate in Auburn all day :) (especially since they lost to Ole Miss...yeah that's right Bama LOST this day!! Icing on the cake) |

The game wasn't until 6pm, which was great because it gave us plenty of time to tailgate and enjoy each other's company. Our tailgate was right next to the TigerWalk, which I've never been to either (I know, what was I doing my four years there?!? well...I was tailgating at the frat house and didn't want to leave to watch the players). We made it in the stadium, our seats were great, and the Tigers played AWESOME!! (like I said, I don't want to talk about how they played this Saturday!).
I loved our view of campus from our seats...made me a little nostalgic for class in that big tall building to the right (Haley Center) |

Mystery Reader
At the girls' school, they have an option for parents, grandparents, or special friends to be mystery readers for the day in their class. It was Alli's star student week at the end of September, and Josh surprised her with being the mystery reader in her class. She was so excited and happy to have her daddy read a story to her class that day. The look on her face was absolutely priceless!
