Alli's Second Birthday Party

A few weekends ago, the Sunday after Alli's actual birthday, we had her party at The Little Gym. It was such a perfect place for her party since she is such a monkey. She had an absolute blast running around, climbing, and jumping on all of the gym equipment. The party was so well-run, and they gave the kids 30 minutes at the beginning to just free play.  After free-play time, the two party leaders led the kids in different activities with scarfs, a jump-bouncy track, and a parachute. I think each of Alli's friends had a blast playing in the gym, and I know that it was great for the parents too.  Since the kids were safe and contained, it gave us a chance to socialize a little more than usual at a birthday party.

Once gym time was over, we made our way to the party room for snacks and cake.  Alli blew out her candle so fast after we sang to her, and then we all dug into the cake. We didn't have any time at the party to open presents, so we had a fun time at home discovering what her sweet friends had given to her.  It was such a great day celebrating our baby's second birthday!

32 Weeks

How far along: 32 weeks 4 days

Total weight gain: +27 pounds

Maternity clothes: Yes definitely. My maternity clothes quickly went from being way too big to almost too small, especially the tank tops. I am getting so tired of wearing the same five things over and over again.

Stretch marks: Just the old ones on my chest that have popped up again.

Sleep:  I've been sleeping so well, and I've also been taking naps when the girls nap almost every day this past month.  By the afternoon, I feel so exhausted (like first trimester exhausted), so naptime is awesome!

Best moment of this week:  Having Dr. Klein back in town, and hearing baby Grant's heartbeat. We have a doppler at home, and Lila loves to listen to his heartbeat every day. We also took family pictures with my friend, Jennifer, and the girls performed so well.

Food cravings: Still about the same., but I've started to want sweets a little more this past month (chocolate chip cookies are like heaven)..lots of salty foods: Nachos, pickles, doritos, cheetos, Coca Cola, greek yogurt, and spinach dip with Wheat Thins. I've also wanted tons of fruit this time, which was different than with both girls.

Anything making you queasy or sick: I didn't have one single headache this past month (that I can remember), which was awesome, but I did get a nasty sinus infection which was no fun.

Have you started to show yet:  I think I'm huge (and so does Josh), but strangers always tell me how small I am for 30/31/32 weeks.  I am a little bigger than I was with the girls at this stage, but I think it just looks that way because he is so low and all out in front.

Gender: BOY!!! Grant Joshua Gentry and his closet is growing by the day :)

Labor signs: The lovely Braxton Hicks started around 18 weeks.

Belly button in or out: In, but it looks like an outie underneath my shirts because it's so flat.

Wedding rings on or off: Still on...hopefully I'll never need to take it off

Happy or moody most of the time: A little bit of both...mostly happy this month though, except when I was sick, that was terrible.

Looking forward to: Our last ultrasound on August 9th to check for growth, and then just meeting him!

Happy anniversary to the greatest man I know! We've come along way and made so many memories in the almost 20 years that we've known each other. I am so blessed to share life with you!

Alli's Second Birthday 7*13*13

We kicked off Alli's actual birthday with a Chick-Fil-A cinnamon roll breakfast complete with two birthday candles.  She was way more into her lit birthday candles at first than her cinnamon roll, and she blew them out with no problems.  I was worried that she'd be scared of the fire like her sister was when she was two, but she had absolutely no fear.

After she blew out her candles, she dug right into her cinnamon roll (we usually don't let them have their own, but hey, it's her birthday!).  We played the rest of the morning before Josh, my dad, and I left to go buy a minivan.

The car buying process took most of the day, so the girls spent the day with their Yeye, but they had a wonderful day! I still cannot believe that my little, tiny, Alli boo is two years old, and she is such a joy to us!
