24 Weeks

How far along: 24 weeks today

Total weight gain: ...not sure, guessing at least +17, I'll have to update after my appointment on Wednesday. (updated: +19.6 lbs...ouch)

Maternity clothes: Sheesh, this is a hard one. My maternity clothes are too big, but my regular clothes are getting too small.  Every time that I get dressed is such a dilema! I've been wearing a lot of my flowy regular tops with my maternity shorts, but they look so baggy on me right now.  I'm really looking forward to breaking out the dresses, but it's not quite hot enough just yet.

Stretch marks: Just the old ones on my chest that have popped up again.

Sleep:  Pretty great still! Sleeping on my side is still annoying, but it is what it is.  I've been naturally waking up well-rested around 6:30 most mornings, which makes me really tired in the evenings, so I usually fall asleep pretty fast.

Best moment of this week:  Having a slow week business-wise to catch up on editing and relaxing with my family.  We also moved the girls into a room together, and it is going much better than expected. I'm pretty obsessed with Lila's big girl bed, and so is she! We also got the paint for Grant's nursery, and his room is pretty much emptied of Lila's old clothes and things.

Food cravings: Still about the same...lots of salty foods: Nachos, pizza, pickles, doritos, cheetos. I've also wanted tons of fruit this time, which was different than with both girls.

Anything making you queasy or sick: The headaches haven't bothered me near as much this past month (thank goodness!). If I eat too much, I'll feel really full and a little sick, but other than that, all is well!

Have you started to show yet: Yes, oh my Lordy! I don't remember being this big this early with either girl, but I think I was (*sigh*).  People are definitely starting to ask me when I am due and if I know what I'm having,  so I'm guessing I've moved past the point of others just thinking I gained some weight around my middle.

Gender: BOY!!! Grant Joshua Gentry and his closet is growing by the day :)

Labor signs: The lovely Braxton Hicks started around 18 weeks.

Belly button in or out: In

Wedding rings on or off: On most of the time, however it keeps giving me a rash (like it did when I was nursing Alli at around 4 months), so I think I have to go get it professionally cleaned since that helped the last time this happened.

Happy or moody most of the time: A little bit of both. I've been really busy with work these past few weeks, so I feel like I've taken my stress out on Josh too much (poor guy).

Looking forward to: Enjoying the pool and getting Grant's nursery painted and decorated.

Cecilia's 4th Birthday Party

This was the first birthday party that I've actually brought my "big" camera to in a long while. I've been so busy with clients, that I haven't had time to photograph everyday life with our friends. I'm going to try to get better about that this summer!

Adrienne always does such a fabulous job with her kids parties, and Cecilia's Wizard of Oz themed 4th birthday party was no exception.  There was green emerald city punch, glitter nail painting stations, tin man veggie cups, silver star wands like Glenda the Good Witch, and a fun painting station that I had to pry my girls from because they loved it so much. They also let me paint their nails, which was a first for us.

Everyone had such a great time at the party!

Last Day of Preschool

Last Thursday, May 23rd, was the last day of preschool for the girls, and I am so sad to see this year go.  Lila had the best year in the Angelfish class at Happy Harbour with Ms. Toni and Ms. Renee, and they were so great with her.  She absolutely loves her teachers, and I know that she will miss them as much as I will.  Alli also had a wonderful year in the toddler class at St. Christopher's Mother's Day Out with Ms. Amy and Ms. Jen. They loved her, and I know that Alli had fun as she would run to her classroom each day. I am glad that both girls will be in the same school next year, and I can't wait to see who they have for teachers.
