Visit to Clarkesville

I love our extended family that lives primarily up in Clarkesville, Georgia, and we are able to get together with them about once a year.  This year, I had asked my cousin, Merideth, of MB Shaw Photography, to take our family pictures at her beautiful locations there, so the rest of our family piggy-backed on that little gathering, and we ended up having a big family reunion in the mountains on October 13th.  It was so great to see everyone again, and I absolutely love the pictures that Merideth has shown me already :)

Frozen on Ice

Back in early October, my brother, sister, Josh, and I took the girls (and baby Grant) to Frozen on Ice at Phillips Arena.  It was such an awesome show, and it kept all of the kids (and adults') attention throughout the entire 2 hour show.  The entire arena sung the songs, and Lila's mouth didn't close the whole show.  It was a great time, and I'm so glad that Kimberly (aunt bow) and Phillip (uncle bbup) could join us!

Halloween 2014

I really cannot believe that it's the middle of November, and I haven't posted about Halloween yet, but the photography business has picked up really nicely here in Georgia and has kept me super busy!

Yeye and Edaddy came over to spend Halloween evening with us.  I made some chicken chili, we dressed the kids in their costumes, and we made our way outside to the cul-de-sac to visit with our neighbors for a bit.  Just as we were saying hello, it started to rain, so we made our way back home to wait out the rain.  It stopped after about 20 minutes, and we went back out with the girls (baby Grant had enough of trick or treating by that point).  We met some of our other neighbors while the girls went house to house, and we also got so many compliments on how polite they were, which made us really happy.  They would leave every house with a "Thank you! Happy Halloween!".

It started raining again after about 30 minutes, so we decided it was time to go to home for good and to put the kids to bed. Even though it was a cold, rainy Halloween, we had a great time!
