Ruffle Butts

I just love this picture. The girls were hanging out in Alli's crib last night, and I think Lila was trying to tell her all about life but of course we couldn't understand a word. That girl has definitely got her own language!

Matching Outfits

I'm such a sucker for matching outfits and I, of course, put the girls in them as often as I can! Alli is about to outgrow many of her cute newborn outfits that match Lila's, so I've had to play dress up with them the past few days! What would be a dress-up party without some cute pictures to go along with them, right?!
Lila decided that Alli didn't need her bow anymore and took it off for her
It looks like Alli is reaching for her big sister, so cute!

Two Weeks Old

I had a fun time taking pictures of Alli today! There was some really good light in her room this morning, so I took advantage of it. I can hardly believe that it's been two weeks since she graced us with her presence!
I gotta show Lila some love too :) She's jamming out with my headphones in this pic.

Three Wonderful Years

Today, Josh and I have been married for three years. He is so special to me, and I couldn't imagine my life without him. What a wonderful husband and father he has become, and our little family is so blessed to have him in our lives! We've definitely made the most of our three years together by bringing two beautiful girls into this world, and I look forward to many more wonderful experiences and memories in the coming year!

Happy Anniversary Josh!

Newborn Photos

On Thursday, July 21st, Josh, Lila, Alli, and I went to Kathleen Weibel's studio to take newborn pictures of baby Alli. Alli did such a great job sleeping, and Lila actually did pretty well too given the fact that she doesn't love having her picture taken here lately. Here are a few pictures that Kathleen let us see early, and I can't wait to see the rest!

Adjusting to life with 2

This house just got a LOT busier, even though all of our guests have left. I feel like I am constantly feeding someone whether it's giving Lila her breakfast/lunch/dinner, or nursing Alli (every hour somedays), and someone is always demanding mine or Josh's attention. With that said, I am so thankful to have two beautiful healthy girls no matter how much more busy that they make me. I don't do well with down-time anyways :) Thankfully, Alli is sleeping well at night and giving us 3-4 hours of un-interrupted sleep on most nights which makes entertaining Lila during the days much more manageable!

I do feel a little bad for Lila though because we haven't really gotten out of the house other than a short Target shopping trip in the last week. Josh and I are going to take her to her gymnastics class again this coming week, and hopefully the pool, but that might be a little too ambitious haha. Thankfully, Lila is still doing well with the new addition.

Sweet Sisters

I just love watching how much Lila loves her little sister (most of the time)! She always wants to kiss her and has even picked her up to hold her(with me holding onto Alli at the same time).  She tries to hold her just like I do, and it's so cute to watch her be like mommy. I am having so much fun with having two girls already, and I'm sure it will only get better!

Lila and her water table

Mamu bought Lila a Little Tikes water table for her big sister gift. I knew that she would absolutely love it since she loves water so much, and I was definitely right! She played and splashed all evening long until her diaper was completely soaked! She also enjoyed running around naked on the back patio for a bit before going inside for her bath. She will surely be getting a lot of use out of her new water table!

Alli's First Doctor Visit

This morning, Alli had her first of many well-baby check-ups. She did so great and didn't fuss much with all the poking and prodding of all the instruments. She weighs right at 7 pounds (which is only 2 ounces lighter than her birth weight) and is 18 3/4 inches. She was 19 inches at birth, so I'm pretty sure her decrease in length is due to her cone head shrinking up a bit.

It felt so good to get out of the house, even if it was just for a little while! After the doctor's appointment, we went back to the house to pick up big sister and Mamu to go to the Toys R' Us. Mamu bought Lila a water table and a Mickey Mouse DVD, which was so sweet. Lila is really enjoying the benefits of getting a little sister!
