Pumpkin Carving

This was the first year that we've actually carved a pumpkin with the girls, and they loved it!  Josh picked out a really cute Cinderella pattern for them, and they were so excited to get to the middle of the pumpkin.  Alli wasn't too into cleaning out the inside of the pumpkin, but Lila dug right in and helped Josh scoop out the insides while Alli watched.

Once the pumpkin was cleaned out, they took a break for the girls' naps (hence the reason Lila has no clothes on in the latter half of the pictures).  Josh got to work on carving the Cinderella, and he was in deep concentration mode to finish it. He did such a great job, and the pumpkin looks awesome! The girls (and Grant too, of course) are so lucky to have a daddy like him!

Pumpkin Patch Visit

The girls always have so much fun visiting the pumpkin patch, and they absolutely love picking out their own pumpkins and then playing with them when they get home.  This year was a little interesting considering we had a 3-week old in tow, but the girls thought it was so cool to get to hold baby Grant and show him the pumpkins.  He wasn't all that impressed with the pumpkin patch, and was over all of the pictures by the end!

We picked out two big pumpkins to carve, and the girls picked out a bunch of medium-sized and small ones.  Alli thought that the pumpkins made good footballs and kept throwing them around, which caused us to have to buy way more pumpkins than we intended, but they have played with them at home for the past few days (who needs toys when you have small pumpkins?!).  They are already ready to go back for another visit!

Proud Big Sisters

These girls LOVE their brother, I mean really love their brother.  I used to have to beg and bribe them like crazy to sit still for a picture.  Now, all I have to say is, "Girls, want to hold baby Grant?" and they literally come running to the chair. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching them become "little mommies" these past three weeks, and it melts my heart how much they care about him.  Here is a little mini shoot we did for Grant's 3-week birthday :)
