Lila's First Birthday Party 2*5*11

We had Lila's first birthday party this past weekend at my parent's house in Suwanee, Georgia.  It turned out to be such a beautiful, sunny day after raining for the two and a half days before the party. There were about 45 guests that joined us in wishing Lila a happy first birthday, and we had so much fun! Since it was a Texas cowgirl theme, we had Frontera (Tex-Mex) cater the party. The food was SO good, but Lila did not want to sit still for one single minute since she had all the attention in the room. She was also having so much fun playing with her cousins, Coleman and Emma, as well as her new friend, Carter. After eating almost no dinner, she dug right into her smash cake when it was time. She was not shy at all about it and loved having all eyes on her. I have NO idea where she gets her love of attention from haha! After she devoured her cake, Grammy and Mamu had to give her a mid-party tubby to wash all of the cake off. After she came back downstairs, she was raring and ready to party some more and didn't go to bed until about 10:30 pm (her normal bedtime is around 7:30!!). Good thing she slept until 10 the next morning though! Josh's parents stayed and chatted with us until around midnight, and our high school friends stayed until around 1:30 am. Who knew a first birthday party would last until the wee hours of the morning :) !?!? We had such a great time, and we're so thankful for everyone who gave up their Saturday to join us! 

We were so lucky to be able to celebrate Lila's first birthday with so many of our good friends and family! We are so thankful to everyone that came!!

It was so much fun to watch all the babies play together. Lila and her new friend Carter were so cute together! 

It was so pretty that I almost didn't want to eat it, but it tasted just as good as it looked. 

Needless to say she enjoyed every bite of her cake!
