Trip back to Destin, Florida

We flew into Panama City, Florida (Southwest flies there direct from Houston!) on Wednesday afternoon, and my mom was waiting for us at the airport to take us to my parent's beach condo. Since it was around 5:30ish by the time we made it to Destin, we stopped and ate dinner at one of my favorite restaurants there, Tommy Bahama Cafe. It was just as good as I remembered it, and we pigged out on chicken quesadillas, delicious salads, Lila's mac-and-cheese, and best of all, Pineapple Pina Colada cake! After dinner, we went across the street to this children's boutique that I loved going into while we lived here, Pretty Please. We bought Lila and Alli several cute outfits and then made our way to the condo.
Lila loved playing with all of the toys that Grammy brought down to the condo. The last time we were here she was almost 5 months old and could barely sit up by herself. This trip she has been walking and crawling all over the place. What a difference 8 months makes!!
Thursday morning, we headed down to the beach and only intended to stay there for a short while just to let Lila explore (not thinking that she would like it as much as she did). Needless to say, she LOVED being at the beach. There was absolutely no one out there, so we just let her roam free. She had such a great time crawling all over the place and walking by the water. We watched her roam around for about two hours until we decided to bring her to the pool. It was chilly outside, but the pool was heated. So, once we got in, it was hard to get out! It was such a great day at the beach and pool, and it flat wore Lila out. She took a three hour nap before our dinner at The Back Porch, where my dad and sister met us after they got in town.
We all went on a really long walk on Friday morning, which reminded me of the walks that we would take around Crystal Beach last February as we were waiting for Lila to decide to come. Friday was really windy, so we spent the rest of the day lounging on the porch. It was so nice out on the deck, and it was the perfect temperature. My sister and I went shopping that afternoon, and I actually found some cute things that I could wear throughout the rest of the pregnancy. We went to dinner at Cafe 30A to celebrate my mom's birthday, and we ate so much delicious food. I think I will definitely gain more than just 4 pounds this month!
Saturday was chilly and windy, so we got a lazy start and went to brunch at the Donut Hole (notice that our vacation revolves a great deal around eating!). Afterwards, I had to get ready for my friend Molly's wedding. (I described the wedding in the previous post)
Sunday has been freezing and cloudy, so we've been pretty lazy again. Although, since Josh and I are renting our house here in Niceville, we wanted to drive by and make sure all is well. So, my mom, dad, and I drove to my old house and everything looked great. It was really strange driving back there and brought back so many memories. It was such a great house! We went to Camille's restaurant for dinner which is right across the street from the condo. They have the same sushi as Harbor docks, and I was so excited to get some really good sushi again (although I couldn't eat the good, raw stuff-bummer)!
Our flight tomorrow is at 9:40 am, so we will be having quite an early morning! I am excited to get home and see Josh and Chevy again though! It's been a fun, relaxing time, and it's been great to spend time with my family (minus my brother Phillip-we missed you Ebup!).  Our next family visit won't be until Easter when they come to Texas! Hopefully Grammy can last a month and a half without a Lila fix!
