Sedona, Arizona

On the last full day of our trip, we took a mini-road trip to the mountains of Sedona to check out the views and beautiful red rocks. It is absolutely beautiful up there, and we weren't surprised why it is called one of the world's most gorgeous places! It only took about an hour and a half to get there, and it was well worth it. We went and checked out a really neat church, Chapel of the Holy Cross, which sits up high and overlooks the red rocks. It is a small, very reverent Catholic church, and there were several people worshiping amongst the many tourists walking in and out. Next, we went and parked to go hiking through the rocks. We started down a path that led to a HUGE drop, so we decided to head in a different direction in order to save ourselves from becoming a news story about a missing family that went down the wrong path. Our second path was much smoother and MUCH less steep! Lila loved riding in the baby Bijorn with granddaddy during the hike.
After the hike, we were pretty tired and hungry, so we headed back down to Scottsdale to eat at Blanco, a really delicious and modern Mexican restaurant. Our dinner was quick and yummy, and everyone went to bed early that night to rest for our flights the next day. I, however, stayed up to watch part of the Auburn game again that was being replayed from the night before. I don't think I could watch it enough :)

Our flight the next day wasn't so bad, and it feels great to be back home, but I do miss Arizona. It is such a beautiful and fun state and one that I hope to go back to again soon!
