This past weekend, Lila and I packed up the car and headed to east Texas, Tyler to be specific, to visit my good friend from high school, Nikki, and her two kids, Presleigh and Jackson. Presleigh and Lila are almost exactly six months apart and Jackson will be almost six months older than Alli when she is born. Our other good friend, Jaime, was in town visiting as well, which was so much fun. It was fun to watch Presleigh and Lila play together, and catching up with old friends was great as well.
Nikki's husband, Tanner, made us a delicious steak dinner on Friday, and we went to eat lunch on Saturday at his restaurant, Newks. Saturday night, we got a babysitter and went out to Villa Cortez for dinner. Villa Cortez is a fancy mexican restaurant that is set in an old mansion. It is a beautiful restaurant, and the food was so good! We did a LOT of eating and a lot of catching up during our visit. I'm so glad that we live so close to each other now! Thanks for having us, Berryhills!
