Easter Lunch

Our Sunday school friends, the Gowans, were kind enough to host Easter lunch for those of us who didn't have other plans and wanted to get together to celebrate.  We have been getting more involved in our class lately, so it was great to spend Easter with them and get to know them better.  Our friends in Texas have been like family to us, and everyone that we've met here these past two and a half years has been so welcoming and so nice.

Lunch was a potluck style with ham, potato salad, mixed greens salad, deviled eggs, sweet rolls, green beans, carrots, and sweet potatoes. I brought a peanut butter and chocolate dessert, which turned out really yummy and everyone seemed to enjoy it.

Before lunch, the kids had an egg hunt around the back and front yards.  Lila filled her basket quickly, and Alli got her one egg and was satisfied.  They had fun playing on the playground equipment with their new friends after the hunt.  It was so much fun celebrating the resurrection of our Lord and Savior with the people whom we are growing in Christ with on Sunday mornings.
