JLGC Annual Dinner 2013

A few weeks ago, we had our annual dinner for the Junior League of Galveston County at the Artillery Club in Galveston.  It was a white theme, so everyone had to wear white (even if they looked way more pregnant than if allowed to wear another color :)!).
We all met at Michelle's to caravan down to Galveston, and of course, I volunteered to drive since I was the only one that wouldn't be drinking for the night (besides my other preggo friend, Carrie!).
Once we got to the Artillery Club, we picked a couple tables in the back in our own, private room during the dinner, and it was a great time.  Since we were more secluded, we could get away with chatting a little more during the meeting portion of the dinner.  The dinner was good, shrimp and grits and sauteed spinach were the main features. Dessert was beignets to announce the theme for this coming Holiday Ball, which will be Mardi Gras.
I am already looking forward to the next league year, and I can't wait to serve on the Adopt a School and Public Relations committees.
